Here at the Erogenous Zone we are working towards the goal of shifting societal mindsets in regards to expressions of sexuality. The Erogenous Zone was created in response to the sexual climate of the 21st century. It is our goal to restore a balance between the two extremes within which society now swings, extreme puritanism and extreme hedonism.

Society seems to have forgotten the most important rule when it comes to sex and sexuality, and that golden rule is respect. For the last few hundred years sexuality has been dominated (in the western world) by a Christian mindset, however that mindset has faltered and broken in recent years, and as a result society now finds itself at a crossroads, either choosing the road of puritanism or hedonism.

Neither of these choices are healthy for individuals or society as a whole, and that is our goal, to show people that these are not the only two choices that are available, there is a middle road, a balance between the two. And that people as individuals have the right to choose how to express their sexuality without the interference of state, religious groups, other groups, or individuals, as long as that expression is done in a respectful manner.

We at the Erogenous Zone aim not just to teach people to respect sex, and to respect others expressions of sexuality, but to also raise awareness of sexual issues that are current and either going largely unnoticed, or are largely ignored. We aim to create a better understanding of sex and sexuality, because with understanding comes change.
